Connecting and Setting Up Your Roku Stick

1. Connect the Roku Stick:

  • Plug the smaller end of the HDMI connector into the Roku stick.
  • Plug the larger end of the HDMI connector into an available HDMI port on your TV.
  • Plug the USB power cable into the Roku stick and then into a USB port on your TV or a wall power outlet using the included power adapter.  

2. Turn On Your TV:

  • Turn on your TV.
  • Use your TV remote to switch the input source to the HDMI port where you plugged in the Roku stick. This is usually labeled with a number or HDMI symbol.

3. Initial Setup:

  • Your TV screen will display a language selection screen. Choose your preferred language using the remote control.
  • Select "Connect to Wi-Fi" from the on-screen menu.

  • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password using the remote control's on-screen keyboard.  
  • You can create a Roku account to access personalized features and channels. This is optional, but recommended. Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account or sign in to an existing one.  

4. Software Update (Optional):

  • Your Roku stick may prompt you to update its software. This is recommended to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.

5. Start Streaming:

  • Once the setup is complete, you'll be presented with the Roku home screen.
  • Use the remote control to navigate the menu and search for your favorite streaming channels.
  • Select a channel and start streaming your favorite shows, movies, and more!

Additional Tips:

  • If your Roku stick didn't come with a remote, you can use the Roku mobile app as a remote.
  • Many Roku devices support voice control. You can use the included remote or a compatible voice remote to search for content and control your device with voice commands.  
  • If you encounter any issues during setup or while using your Roku stick, refer to the user manual or visit Roku's official website for troubleshooting tips.
