How to Factory Reset Your DIRECTV Stream Gemini Box

Factory Reset Guide – DIRECTV Stream Gemini Box
If your Gemini device is frozen, linked to the wrong account, or you simply need a fresh start, follow the steps below to perform a full factory reset.
Important
A factory reset removes the current account, deletes saved data and WiFi settings, and returns the device to its original setup screen. You will need to log in again after the reset.
Reset Instructions
Step 1 – Position the Device
Hold the Gemini box so the ports are facing you.
Step 2 – Locate the Reset Button
When facing the ports, look on the left side of the device. You will see a small red button. It is recessed and may require a paperclip to press.
Step 3 – Hold for 20 Seconds
Press and hold the red button for 20 seconds. Do not release early.


Step 4 – Automatic Reset
Release the button. The device will automatically begin the factory reset process and reboot into the setup screen.
After the Reset
You can now:
  • Log in with the same account
  • Log in with a new account
  • Set up the device as brand new
If the Reset Does Not Start
Unplug the power cord for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and repeat the reset process by holding the red button for 20 seconds.
